What is a Home Energy & Health
Assessment?
| |
 |
Do
family members suffer from allergies or asthma?
Your home may be contributing to your
suffering. A Home Energy & Health
Assessment will help identify ways to make your home healthier
and safer.
|
| |
 |
Is Your Indoor
Air Too Dry or Too Humid?
Improper humidity control can cause mold, mildew and
structural damage. A Home Energy & Health
Assessment
will identify ways to help you control the humidity
in your home.
|
| |

|
Do
you have hot or cold spots?
A Home Energy & Health Assessment will
help you get to the bottom of why, and what you can
do about it. |
| |
 |
Are your utility
bills too high?
According to the Department of Energy, the typical
home wastes 25% to 40% of energy by air leakage
escaping from poor HVAC duct work. Are you throwing
your money away? Find out if you are and how to stop
it! |

During a Home Energy & Health
Assessment, our Home Performance Specialist will make a personal

of your home. We look at the whole house as a system and
identify issues that affect indoor air quality and energy
efficiency. An Assessment involves a full examination of the
following:
Building envelope
HVAC system
Insulation
Attic
Crawl Space
Room
Imbalances
Combustion Appliances
Indoor air pollutants
Water
Usage
Rain-water management
We test with state-of-the-art equipment
Using special diagnostic instruments and
technical computer applications, we test your home's efficiency
and provide you with a detailed report that includes photos of
any trouble spots.
Weatherization and Retrofitting
After identifying any trouble spots, we tell you
exactly
what needs to be done to help improve the health of your home and we do all the work! We offer affordable
weatherization and retrofits that eventually pay for themselves through significant energy savings.
Follow-up
After energy efficient home improvements are made
to your home, we come in for a final inspection and test to
ensure the energy improvements are working.
